Cultured Pearls of Service, Incorporated (CPS) is the Internal Revenue Service recognized 501(c)3 philanthropic partner of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Rho Xi Omega Chapter. CPS was established under the name Rho Xi Omega Charities, Incorporated, in August 1990.
Bonita Dancy, Bobbie Daniel, C. Yvonne Holt-Stone, Delores Kelley, Donna Price, and Patricia Roberts led the effort to establish a tax-exempt nonprofit organization. As a result of their work, greater contributions to Baltimore residents have been made through the provision of comprehensive and systemic programs and services that improve the educational growth, health, cultural, and socioeconomic status of youth and families who reside in Baltimore.
Cultured Pearls of Service, Incorporated was formed to provide much-needed services to Baltimore’s families, students and communities. We raise funds through member dues, grant funding, individual and corporate gifts, and fundraising events in support of programs and activities that benefit the Baltimore community. For over 35 years, Cultured Pearls of Service, Incorporated has been a trusted and efficient steward of funds entrusted to the organization.
These services, which started in 1990, are still very much in demand today. We have provided much-needed services to the residents of Baltimore by filling educational and social gaps created by a changing social, cultural, and economic environment.
Cultured Pearls of Service, Incorporated distributes monetary support to individuals and other non-profit organizations and provides comprehensive programs and services that will improve the educational, health, cultural, and socioeconomic growth of youth and families who reside in Baltimore.
